Irish Christmas Tree Farm

We have been able to secure a contract with Irelands main producer of Christmas tree transplants, to supply us with only quality transplants at very competitive prices which we purchase on our fellow growers behalf which in turn will save you money and time in trying to source plants.

 

We can supply Noble Fir and Nordmann Fir transplants sizes ranging from approx 6" in height, these are plug cell grown we have seen an increase in the demand of plug cell grown plants used for Christmas tree production. The Cell Grown plants flexibility in planting time has enabled Christmas tree growers to plant when it suits them. Our quality of stock grown is second to none with constant repeat orders somewhat dictating the species we supply and the volumes in which we have contract grown. The fact that certain species used for the production of Christmas Trees often run low is more evidence to suggest that the Cell Grown plant is by some growers the preferred method of production. The superb quality we have been able to offer in recent years, have, we are sure also contributed to the current shortfall on the open market.

 

We grow all of our trees in pots from transplants, unlike other places that will grow trees outside in a field, dig them up with roots on and replant into pots when the trees are at a certain size required, chances are these trees do not survive, There is a big difference in the quality of pot grown trees. Most manufacturers simply dig up a regular tree and put it in a pot. Such a tree can never survive to be planted outside since almost the entire root system is cut off.
